Career Vision Posters with-Career Day
Putting students' imagination of their future careers at the forefront, this 20-Class Final Project uses the Development, Marketing, Sale, and Distribution of Career Vision Posters-with Career Day (i.e. a Product & Event) to teach 1st thru 5th Grade students sixth-level skill sets in the areas of 1) Business & Entrepreneurship; 2) Innovation & Creativity; 3) Research & Study Habits; 4) Budget & Finance; 5) Career Exposure; and 6) Service Learning. Using a project-based approach, students will learn about the Business Management and participate in fun and engaging activities that include, but are not limited to the following:
Business & Entrepreneurship:
- Building a mini creative production firm to develop, market, and sell custom career vision posters
Innovation & Creativity:
- Using ambitions, illustrations, job titles, personal goals, and motivational quotes to design something meaningful and marketable
Research & Study Habits:
- Investigating career fields, collecting facts, using interviews, digital resources, and summarizing key ideas in a visual format
Budget & Finance:
- Tracking poster production costs (e.g., paper, printing, supplies), setting price points, and projecting potential profits
Career Exposure:
- Exploring careers such as Director Of Operations and Project Manager
Service Learning:
- Donating a portion of the proceeds as well as posters to libraries and community centers
